The Eldoret City on Friday appeared before a team of experts from the state department for performance contracting for a mid-year performance assessment, marking a key milestone in the City’s journey towards strengthened governance and improved service delivery.
The assessment, led by Mr. Bernard Biegon, focused on several critical areas of performance, including financial stewardship and discipline, service delivery, institutional transformation, adherence to the City’s core mandate, and the implementation of the Governor’s directives, among other governance parameters.
During the session, the City Manager was appraised on the overall leadership and administrative performance of the City, with particular emphasis on accountability, efficiency, and results-based management. The experts commended the City’s structured approach to management and alignment with county integrated development plan (CIDP) and the bottom-up economic transformation agenda (BETA).
At the conclusion of the assessment, the Eldoret City attained a strong composite score, reflecting positive performance across the evaluated areas and underscoring the City’s progress in institutional strengthening and service delivery.
The City Manager was flanked by several directors from the City of Eldoret during the assessment, highlighting a team-based approach to leadership and accountability.
